Default Question for motor swap for fox mustang

Im new to the site but not new to cars. I got a 429 thunderjet waiting to be built and put in a good stable, but I am curious, will the 429/460 block squeeze into a 79-93 mustang/capri? Anyone done it and how bad was it? thnx

How costly is the swap, and how bad will she handle in the end?

The swap isn't too bad. You need headers, motor and tranny mounts, tranny, hood, radiator, electric fans (in front of the rad if possible), and a whole list of things I've probably forgotten over time and another whole list of things depending on what fuel system (carb vs injected) and what year car (computer, electronics, ignition system etc...).

As far as handling its adding weight to the front of a heavily front weight biased car. It is heavier than stock but I never minded as I was just drag racing, so handling wasn't all that important. I added four wheel discs (and a 9" rear end) to improve the braking as well.

Like I said, there is probably a lot of stuff I've forgotten over time, ( I parted out most of the car a few years ago ) but ther will be other people adding to the list soon, I'm sure.
