Default question on vacuum

I just finished putting my new motor in the car, and everything is looking good except for vacuum. It's a real pain in the butt to do the vacuum tubes under the TFS intake, so I was wondering if all vacuum is in fact the same. From what a stock setup looks like, with the PCV running off the back of the plenum (The fitting that connects to the center underside of the upper plenum as well), doesnt it make sense that I could switch where the vacuum tree line and the PCV valve connect? Also, what does that black box (I've heard it called a charcoal container) that resides right in front of the passenger side wheel on the fender really do? Where is it's vacuum line supposed to connect? Does anybody have a vacuum diagram of sorts? Man i'm confused... help

thanks alot
dino
