Post Hesitation, Bogging, Bucking

My car sputters back and forth when i hit the gas. If i take my foot off the gas after about a second it kicks back. Also when i am sitting at idle the monster tach jumps around a couple of hundred rpm..is that normal. The exhaust note sounds a little funny too. What is wrong with my car guys. Dealer said they didnt notice a problem...how could that be...

It could be running rich but the hunting idle makes me think it's a sensor problem of some sort. I'm no good at tracking sensor problems on EFI cars, but maybe the TPS sensor. That's a common cause for a hunting idle I believe....i dunno about the other symptoms.

Have you done anything to your MAF meter? When we did my PIH I had to change the MAF to match the PIH and 30lb injectors. The MAF wasn't calibrated right and the dang thing pulled a TON of fuel out of the motor when I did anything more than idle. All kinds of pinging and knocking and other horrible noises.

I had the same problem. (post: car hikups under minor acceleration) It did the bucking when i let off the gas and everything, just like yours. I have a speed density 87. I took off the upper intake, cleaned it out real good along with the EGR valve. I also installed my 65mm T-body and spacer. I kept pulling a code 34. I still pull that code, but the problems are gone now. I think the code is there b/c i have a couple vaccum lines missing. I think the EGR was really crapped up and the engine was choking. Clean her out real good and see if thet helps. It did for me.

She still idles a little high but not that bad. Once again, i think that if from missing vaccum lines. Light Em Up!!
