Quick Cam Question
I recently bought a 95 cobra. I am going to be putting a set of trickflow twisted wedge heads w/ 1.6 RR on and was wondering how big of a cam I can use before I have p/v clearancing issues. I was looking into the stage 2 trick flow cam. Can I use this cam without clearance issues?

TFS-II is a big cam, and needs to be clayed to make sure it'll fit.
I had the TFS-1 no problemo. Later bought the Stage-II, installled, but eneded up with custom cam from Ed Curtis before I fired up the TFS-II. It fit, but BOY was it close. |
I agree, the stage II cam is a pretty big cam, perhaps a tad TOO big for your combo. If you want a off the shelf cam and TFS #1 cam would probably match up pretty good to you combo.
But my theory is, if you gonna go.......go all out. I'd give Ed Curtis a call. For $325 bucks you'll have a cam that is spot on for your combo. -Josh, aka the tireburner |

That's what I'm going to do for my next cam. I think it will be well worth the $$. |
Ed's #??
Sorry to hijack the post...but in the future I plan on changing heads, getting my manifold ported & going with a bigger custom ground cam. I've heard a lot of good things about Ed Curtis' cams. Is there a link on this site somewhere? How can I get a hold?
