![]() I test drove an '88 GT the other day and noticed that the shifter was a little stiff and took a little effort to change gears. Is this normal for a stock shifter in mustangs of that year? Also the clutch petal was a little firm too. As far as the guy knew the tranny and clutch was stock.
One more question, how can you tell if a clutch is ready to be replaced? It started to engage about 2inches from the floor. I didn't feel any slipage while I was driving. I am considering buying this car so any help on these questions would greatly be appreciated.
