![]() Recently, I visited two pretty reputable shops here in the Palm Beach County area. I had some minor mods done and had lengthy conversations with both shop proprietors about the order in which I am planning on performing more mods to my car. Both of them suggested to avoid putting a cam in my car- even after heads and intake are done. They sais that the computer in the 94-95 GT's make it very difficult for the car to idle correctly. I thought that could be corrected by a custom-burnt chip-was I wrong? What are your experiences with installing cams in these year cars? I plan on small-valve Edelbrock Performers or TFS Twisted Wedge heads with a Performer 5.0 intake. I was looking into an aftermarket cam, albeit a small one, but something to complement the heads and manifold. Seems to be a shame to do those mods and not install a cam as well.
