OUTPLAYN, you do what you want, but removing the belt entirely actually slowed me down over running a shorter belt, the EEC computer needs to see a constant voltage to run correctly, by making the car run on only the battery, albeit for 12-14 seconds, DOES seem to affect how the car runs, especially at high RPM's when it's asking everything from that ELECTRICALLY OPERATED fuel pump, etc.....:D

True that gtsr, the fuel pump will need all the juice possible to feed a motor at wot, im determined to hit 12's with stock heads too, i'll let you know when i do, im ordering a FPR, and 1.7 rr's, then some longtubes eventually.....

Hey Coupe, I also had a 155 pump and AFPR too, forgot that, It always ran best at 40 psi. I think if you went to 26X8.5 slicks, that alone would knock off three tenths, my 60ft. on that 12.82 pass was a 1.70 and i think the 8th mile was 8.20 or so.
