Talking Finallly 12's YeeeHaaa!!!

Finally got in the 12's on plain 'ol BFG TA's, and all motor n/a!!! The new pipes and clutch I put on it over the winter put me over the hump. Went to 66 after work today and made two passes. First one was a 12.99@105, and backed it up with a 12.96@107.1 Still had to baby it out of the hole and spun pretty bad going into second, so with a warmer track it might even do a little better. But no matter....it's in the 12's. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!! Now maybe with some slicks...

Congratulations!! I've yet to get a 12 second timeslip. The cool thing is you need to update your 13.20 @105.8 on your signature!

you had the power to be in the 12's all along. A 13.2 @ 105.8 MPH is what you ran before. But, a 105 MPH at 12.99 is what you ran now, so the clutch made the difference? Did your 60 ft. time improve a lot over the 13 second run?

smokedchevy...hey thanks, didn't think about that!
Mach1...The 60ft. times were both 2.0. The clutch really grabs harder, because before hitting 2nd gear it would just break the tires a little bit. Now it spins in 2nd pretty hard. In fact I think I need to adjust my pinion angle, because now I'm getting wheel hop pretty bad both in cleaning the tires at the line and in second gear. Also the car feels like it's pulling harder in the higher RPMs with the bigger exhaust. Going from 1 1/2" shortys to 1 5/8" longtubes had to free up the exhaust with the edelbrock heads. Any recomendations on pinion angle with SSM's and adjustable uppers??? Thanks guys!

Thumbs up

Step up to BFG drag radials, Bob! The TAs have no grip compared to the Drag radials.
