What Coil should I get?
I am running a MSD 6A and was wondering what coil I should get. I will be installing a cleaned up set of GT-40 heads and a Perfomer Intake.
Thanks Chip

It doesn't really matter, but I like the MSD Blaster TFI coil (part #8227). It claims to disperse a little more output voltage. Plus it cost about the same as the factory ones at the local parts stores, and it even looks good.

I had a blaster coil in my car for five minutes. The car stalled every 10 secs and ran like hell. I returned it and put in a crane ps-91, and the car has run great ever since.

the aftermarket coil may give a little quicker starting, maybe better throttle response, but really not much else...I might be wrong on this, but I think I remember some saying the MSD hums a little...

yah it does hum, mine has since day one
I also recently noticed that I can see spark jumping from the main body of the coil to the outer metal frame. Probably not good
