Rear Disc Install

I installed rear disc brakes on a 90 GT. The brakes are out of an 87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. The brakes work, but I need to know anything else I need to do, master cylinder, proportioner valve, etc..... Also will the emergency brake cables out of a SVO Mustang work with my setup. Any help will be appreciated. I went to the website that I will probably be sent to, but need this broken down further in shadetree terms. Thanks

The guy who owned my car before me installed a thunderbird turbo coupe rearend in it and from what i can see, he put in the master cylinder, got rid of the stock valve that applies the rear brakes first before the front(forgot name of valve), it's in the proportioning block though, he used e-brake cables from the turbo coupe as well i think. I'm not exactly sure though. The E-brake lines from an SVO should work because it's the same system. He also used as many of the brake lines from the turbo coupe as he could, but re-routed from the master cylinder back to the hose from the rear axle housing.
You can also add a proportioning valve for better control, although my brakes work pretty good without it, you'd probably be able to stop faster by being able to apply more pressure to the front.
Hope this helps,
Rick

Gut the stock prop-valve and put the FRPP plug in it and add an adjustable prop valve. I went with the SVO MC since I have the big calipers up front. The e-brake cables have to come from FRPP since the SVO cables have different ends (I used '93 GT cables and added the special bracket that holds them in the trans tunnel). For the rear axle, I just re-bent new lines and used the '94 GT caliper hoses. Hope that helps to start!
