Default oil for my gears

I have a 1991 lx coupe and just had my gears swaped to 373s about 300 miles ago. i wanna change my oil back there but i am not sure if i have traction loc or not. I have to check that. THe problem is that i cannot check the codes before i go to the dealership nad get parts. I think ill just go get some 80w90 and the Friction Modifier but if my codes say i dont have traction lock i guess i just dont add in the Friction modifyer? This sound like a good plan? I am 99% sure that they all have traction loc but just to be safe

I know Redline sells some quality gear oil, I think I will be purchasing from them for the same thing. I need to change mine soon.

Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube is good. It has the friction fluid in it and you can buy it at autozone.
