![]() OK, here is the deal. My dad blew the ring and pinion gears, diff and some of the bearings in his 95 Explorer's rear end. He doesn't have time to rebuild it himself and to have it done would cost him a small fortune. So he is just going to get a rear from a junk yard and have it installed.
I have the time to repair the rear since my Stang is off the road for the winter anyways. My question is will the rear end from his 95 Explorer fit in my FOX body Stang? If not what would I need to modify to make it work? His Explorer is a 4.0 V-6, but if I'm not mistaken all the 95 Explorers came with the 8.8 rear in them right? Any info is good info! Steve |
