Default Rear end problems - OUCH!

Well, the LX has been running like a raped ape since the latest mods I've done. The only thing is, when we opened up the rear to put in the 3.73's, we noticed the spider gears in the limited slip were a bit fukked, but I didn't have the extra $500-$1000 to redo the entire rear. I'm getting a low speed-low rpm clunking/knocking noise in the rear.......it's fine when I'm haulin *** though. I can't redo the rear and put in my next round of mods till 3/03.........so 1) will my car be ok till then and 2)what should I go w/, stick w/ limited slip or go w/ a trak lock, c-clip elim, 31 spline strange axles, etc etc????? Give me your $.02. Thanks.
