advise on T-5 rebuild

2nd gears starting to grind pretty often, I'm not gonna lie, so it looks like I'm gonna have to rebuild my T-5. It seems like it's going to be way to expensive to have a shop do it, so I'm gonna try it myself in a week or so. I know I'll have to get a machine shop to press in/out some bearings, but I'm assuming I can do the rest. I've seen rebuild kits for around $150 that come w/synchros, seals, etc., can anyone give me an idea of what else I might need and how much I might spend on getting the bearings pressed? Will I need any special tools?, Also, who has the best kits/prices for trans rebuild kits? Any info is appreciated.
