Default Rebuild Questions

My car has the “blue smoke of death” at start up and between 3500 and 5000 RPM’s. My plan is the rebuild the engine and I have a few beginner questions.

1. Any recommendations on brands of rings and bearings?
2. Can the standard 5.0 heads' valve guides be replaced?
3. My plan is to add a KB supercharger in about 2 years and I noticed that Crane Cams recommends different springs for the same cam based on supercharged vs. NA. Why? I don’t get it and I don't want to have to replace the springs later.
4. For some comic relief here is the reason I think the engine is worn out. The previous owner drove the car with a hole in the airbox. There was dust all the way to the throttle body. I stopped looking there.

thanks for any input
