![]() funny you asked, 3.73,fuel pressure regulator, h pipe, race crank pulley and cobra water pump pulley, umm, aluminum driveshaft, if you dont have a stall get one, cold air fenderwell kit, manual rack and pinion is always nice. timing, keep the stock headers... anyone else have suggestions?

![]() Some simple bolt ons like: 70mm throttle body(15 min.), trickflow intake(1 day), cold air induction(5 min.), 75mm mass air flow meter(5 min.), h-pipe(1 hour), after cat exhaust(1 hour), and underdrive pulleys(30 min.) should get you into the 13s without having to any thing that takes more than an hour except the intake manifold. you could do all of these mods in your garage within 2 days no problem and it would be fun to surprise the hell out of you friends without telling them anything that you got except the exhaust.

![]() Uhh lets see, my friend has a 89 coupe aod, he had 373s and flows, and went 14.6, he then got a hold of a cobra intake and 24lb# injectors and i think a FP regulator and dropped to 14.0, but he got a deal on the intake, so you should be able to find a cheaper way, upgrade traction and suspension, well thats not cheaper, but a stall would be a good idea.

![]() TO THESLOAOD-
Your car runs pretty fast for only having a couple of mods done it, why is that? Usually it takes people a lot more mods to make it to low 13's with a stock motor. ------------------ 87' LX,Dark Canyon Red Hatchback,AOD,remanufactured w/Transgo shiftkit 3:27's Flowmasters K+N filter E.T.= 14.6@95 no Airsilencer |

![]() Dont get a 70mm TB. Matter of fact I dont think the TB should be of much concern at all right now. Since you have and AOD go with 4.10 gears, a stall, pulleys, and a H-pipe. You will have 13's no problem. I promise.

![]() I have to totally agree with Skyman, those are fairly inexpensive options, will give you LOTS of bang for the buck and from what i've seen, many people with very similar mods will easily go 13's. and like sky said your tires might not hook, so all i can suggest is like drag radial tires like BFgoodrich Drag radials (i assume you have the 10 hole wheels). Good luck and have fun!

![]() I'd say get a set of long tube headers too. The stock exhaust is way too restrictive.

![]() Im runnin a best of 13.62 with a used Powerdyne with a 9lb pulley, adjustable regulator, and 3.55s. This car is heavy being a convertable and auto. The trans really holds the car back but im sure the motor cant take much more with the completely stock motor. I was suprised on how the blower made this car go from 15.8 to a best of 13's. with the car hot it runs consistant 14 flats.

![]() TheSloAOD- You really need to come to the conclusion that your car is a freak and is nothing like anyone elses car. You can't point out the same mods and expect them to get the same results. Your car is extreamly rare and unbelieveable to most. I find it hard to believe but I give you the benefit of the doubt. You can't give people crap because their cars arent as fast. Its no more their fault their cars are slower as it is yours that yours runs fast. It has nothing to do with your great tuning or driving skills, you just got lucky.

![]() One thing people forget to consider is weight. I run a 14.6 @ 95 in a 3600 pound car. I usually hang with stock AOD GTs or stock five speed verts. But, if my car weighed 3200 or so like a fairly light stang, I'd be in real low 14s. I know HP computers online aren't very accurate, but it gives you an idea. And the old saying about one tenth for every hundred pounds lost is true in most cases.

Keep in mind this thang is heavy (3590lbs) Finally 14s!!!! |
