Default Rebuilding

Will that summit 306 engine kit be good even though it has KB Hypers and not forged pistons? This is just a street motor that has to be a strong daily driver. It will only see a few stop light drags everyonce it awhile, this is also a carbed motor though i don't think that will make any kind of difference as far as what rebuild kit will be good. I know everyone is gonna say that i need forged pistons like they have in the past but if these hypers are gonna be reliable for my application this kit would really save me some money because it comes with everything.

The hypers will be fine for what you are describing. They are not so good for nitrous(what I hear). Forged are stronger, but hypers are strong too. That is the kit I am gonna use.

I agree the hypers are fine for what you wanna do and I heard and seen people use them with a little boost also such as a S/C, Turbo, and or NOS.
