Default question about battery size and stumbling

ok my dads 95 GT automatic has a 500 cranking amp/400 cold cranking amp battery in it. its pretty hard to start sometimes and it stumbles right after its turned on until it gets going then its fine. my camaro has a 750amp/650cold amps and it doesnt have half the electronics the stang has. you think a bigger battery will help solve the problem with his car? i swapped batterys and see but they arent the same connection types

You can't go wrong with a DieHard Gold. My car starts in 30 below weather after weeks of sitting.

I don't believe that's your father's problem, though. I'd do a tune up which includes replacing the PCV valve. A long crank and stumbling is a symptom of a bad PCV valve. There are other things to check, but that's where I would start. Reading the codes from the computer wouldn't hurt either.

If the timing is way out of whack it could cause the hard start that you are describing. Take the battery down to the parts house and have them test it. Good luck.
