Default Removing the Alternator Pulley...

I have a set of ASP under drive pulleys that I want to install after I get my car back. I had a quick look before I left Dallas and the crank and waterpump pulleys looked easy enough, but any tricks to getting the Alternator pulley off? I don't have an impact.

if you dont mind messing up the stock pulley then take a rag put it over the pulley and get some vise grips and lock them down as tight as you can bust that bolt loose its not that hard to get loose there not that tight

Or you could pull the alt. and go to a parts store and ask them to switch the pullies for you. They have impacts at the stores for doing this.

if you can find one that will do it for you he is right that is the best why . but around here our auto parts stores dont have impacts sh%t they dont have many tools to use. and a shop wanted to charge me 20$ to do it. but now I have a impact . thats just the way I had to do it the first time I put them on my car.

Thanks guys. I'll give that a try. Now that I think about it I work for Ingersoll-Rand, there has to be a dam compressor and impact tool somewhere in this building

I went to my local Pepboys, they switched it for free in 5 minutes.
