Rev Kit

I was just wondering why there isn't a rev kit available for the SBF. If there is, I haven't seen one. I have however seen them for chevy's and the benifits are quite impressive.

They have them for solid roller engines (maybe only the tall windsor blocks)

As for hydraulic roller 5.0's I doubt there is enough room to install a rev kit between the heads and the cam?

I've contacted AFR about their hydrarev kit for SBF 5.0's and they said its still under development http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/mad.gif

I would dearly luv to get another 500 rpm out of my 347! that is in the works.

The only other option right now appears to be a bit to expensive; titanium retainers and valves http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif The retainers aren't to bad, but at 60 bucks or more a pop for titanium valves, I'll just settle for a 7,000 rpm redline!

Course for the freak that wants hydraulic rollers, titanium valves & retainers plus some sort of rev kit! Watch out http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif

I didn't know AFR was working on a kit, thanks for the info. I just bought a set of the 185's. You are able to get 7000 with the hyd. roller lifters? everyone says 6500 max. is there anything to the anti-pump up lifters that I have been seeing? I'm getting a 331 built and could use the extra rpm's.
