Default Roots Blower

I need to know what you know about this roots blower.
From what i read - it's the cheapest, lowest performance and most reliable alternative to go fast and put 310WRHP to the ground.

My mods are MAC CAI, Pro Chamber and some other small stuff.
I'm seriously thinking about the roots idea after the headswap was disapointingly expensive.

Hammer, don't you have a blower? I went to your site but was no mention of it.

I ran a 14.8ET stock. Now i'm a solid mid 14.

Sorry,
I haven't updated the site in a while...
If you'd like to check my current stats, go to user's rides and look for Hammer...

As far as your question, I have a Procharger P-1SC...
Nice setup, good power.... but to be honest. For a daily driver package with good performance and reliability, a Roots package rocks...

Many manufacturers offer roots units for 96-98 Stangs...
(Including Ford Motorsport and Saleen)
Check them out. I think you'll like them...

thanks Hammer - i looked it up and see you're running some wild ET's!

I looked up Saleen and their damn blowers are $3,600US which is like $5,000 canadian.

Where else can you find roots blowers? Do they have a website?

And how long have you had the blower and do you have any disapointments??

There are probably at least 4 or 5 manufacturers of roots style blowers out there. I'd pick up a copy of MM&FF as well as do some searching on the web...

3 to 4 thousand (American) will be the price range for a decent set-up. Also remember that you're also replacing that crappy stock intake. (My stock intake blew as soon as I put some boost on it...)

I've had the blower about a year and only had an issue with some bad oil seals. Procharger repaired the unit with good seals under warranty and I've had no problems (with the blower) since.

To be honest.... I absolutely LOVE the power.

But like I said, the streetability and reliability of the roots style is just great, and is very worthy of consideration...
