Sheetmetal Intake
 

Anyone have any info on sheetmetal upper intakes? Getting ready to start fabbing one to go on a ported truck lower for my 86GT. Wondering whether it would be better to use 1/4 or 1/8 inch material. Should look like the one from Hogan Manifolds but alot cheaper since we have a tig and both size aluminum pieces.

are you going n/a or planning on supercharging or turbo charging it ?

weve done 1/8 and 3/8 th's because that was what we had.

are you using part of the upper as a base ? 302 uppers work better. larger ports

I posted some pics once will try and find them or will take more of the one in the basement.

I have found the throttle body attachement to be the hardest part for me to fab so on this one i bought a egr space and welded it to the box.
