A shift kit, Exhaust.??? what next?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble deciding on what kind of mod I want to do next, I'm trying to decide between a shift kit(TransGo probably), underdrive pulleys, exhaust system...I dunno can you guys help? (i'd rather do something for speed, I want my car to actually be quick before it sounds awesome...what's a loud obnoxious car without speed...ya know what i'm saying)

I totally agree with you....IMO, I wouldn't do the exhaust yet (unless you just want to throw some flowturds on for now). What mods you do all depends on how much $$$ you're looking to spend and what your goal is. The underdrive pulleys are a good low $-decent return mod.....shift kit's another nice mod, especially if your car's got a stock shifter (they suck)

go shift kit first, that should save a few tenths of your 1/4 mile times. but it sure does sound nice having a good exhaust system when your running down the track!

Go with the shift kit. I have the Transgo in my GT and love it. It's definitely worth the $$$.

Mine was $104 plus ship. from excessive. There are a few on this board who have had bad dealings w/ excessive but mine was @ my door in 5-6 days and installed by me that day after work. It comes w/ good destructions and a video, if you can turn a wrench you can do this install. I have a prob w/ my kit as it will shift in OD when @ WOT in D sometimes and I heard there is no way to fix. I tried to get a hold of their techs and alls i got were the secretaries. John
