Shift points?

I was wondering if there's a program or website that could tell me what to shift at. I know that the best way is to get the car dynoed and shift where the hp and torque curves cross...but I'm poor so that's not gonna happen. I've been shifting at about 6 grand and that feels like it's about the best place to shift but I just want to be sure. Trying to get the best ET out of this car. As soon as the track opens anyway. Thanks!

Just play with it at the track. I think 5900-6000 seems to be about right for the B-303 with 1.7's. I shift my E-303 at 5600rpm. It pulls a little past there, but thats where it starts to fall off and I've gotten my best results. I ran it upto 6000 on the shift points and it slowed down.

Thanks sky! That's about what I figured. I've played some and that seems to be about the best place to shift. Man I can't 'till the track opens! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif

I've got an explanation and demonstration of determining shift points on my website. Just follow the URL in my sig.
