Shifters?

I want to put a shifter on a t-5 tranny. What is the best? Go short throw or not? Steeda's shifter any good and is it a shortthrow? Thanks.

I love my Steeda Tri-Ax for my Tremec. Didn't like it the first week or so because it was still ral tight and notchy, but after I broke it in, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Easy to install, and you can adjust it to a couple of different settings. Definately worth the money to me. I think you can pick up the Tri-Ax for the T-5 for around $175 or so. I got mine for like $176 for the Tremec.

I put a Pro-5.0 shifter on mine. The only thing I don't like is the super short shifter handle. It kept pinching the leather boot untill it tore. And it is so short it is a tough reach for third gear. I just put my stock handle back on untill I can see any other handles in person.

The instruction sheet that came with the shifter looked like it was drawn by a three year old.

I do like the way the Steeda shifter handle looks in the catalog.

I have the Hurst Competition/Plus shifter on mine. It is not as smooth as a Pro 5.0, but it is easy to drive with. My advice to you, is to drive or at least feel a couple of different shifters on cars before you buy one because everyone's opinion is different as well as each shifter. Good luck
