Default Eaton Posi, Good buy?

Im looking at getting an eaton posi 3.55's and some hardend axles for my 8.8 rear soon. A local shop is selling me the eaton for 410$. If i ever finish my 347 project the eaton will have to stand up to 400-500hp. Is the eaton a good choice for my street/strip car? Im shure youll let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks
