You can also try heat.

Carefully use a heat gun, or steal a high heat blow dryer from the bathroom, to heat up the adhesive.

If you are careful, and if you have good paint, it should come off without leaving marks.

BTW if your fender has ever been repainted make sure that the emblem was taken off for the repaint. If the emblem was taped you will have a nasty outline.
