They make a puller to pull the gear off of the dizzy. You have to get the pins out of the shaft that hold the gear, the use the puller to get the gear off. After that, you shouldn't have any problems getting the PiP out. However putting the gear back on and lining up the holes for the pins at the same time is a big PITA.
