275 for rear tires is going to be too big, unless you want to mod your wheel wells, it can be done with some work. It's just easier to fit smaller tires though. On my 89 Gt I had 245's all the way around on 17x9 Cobra R's, and they looked great, & wide too. By the way I'm Justin also.

My dad's friend Joe has an 89 LX hatchback and had 15x8 4-lug ROH wheels on the back with 295/50s and they fit. They rubbed the inside when he turned real hard, but not much. He went down to 275/50 and they don't rub anywhere. As far as I know, he hasn't touched the wheel well.
