Thumbs up T5's

Dog5 you sound like you are pretty hard on parts, because I know numerous people making a lot more than 300hp to the tires and they have their original T5's.

D&DPerformance is definitely a good source matter of fact August issue 2002 they had a very good article on the difference between the wide ratio and close ratio T5's so it is all good.

T5 is not a bad transmission it is not the best either but if you are chucking gears with a stock shifter, then you are taking your wallet in your own hands.

Whatever you decide Killer factor in the cost of a good shifter if you want that tranny to last,I bought my 90 5.0 LX in Dec 89,Jan 90 it had a Hurst shifter in it,did it raise a stink when I took it in for service yeah but the part that was broken was not the tranny it kept breaking valvesprings, but that is another story.

Call up D&D and also Hanlon,Tremec is a good tranny also, but remember this when it come to high performance parts"if man can make it,man can break it"
