I purchased the alum. headed long block from Central Coast Mustang (essentially the same as the GT40 long blocks). It has performed flawlessly for the last year. Starts like a bad day and runs like a raped ape.

I haven't taken it to the strip. It serves as a daily driver - 3.08 gears still - yuk. It was very cost effective. A stroked long or short block will run you at least $1000.00 more.
