I just did a wiring harness swap last week!
It's not fun!! I took the drivers seat out to get under the dash better. Under the dash there are 4 connectors that you must disconnect. They are each attached to a bar that hold them up under the dash. You must first slide them off the bar and then they will drop down far enough for you to pull them apart. After they are unplugged it will all pull out through the firewall. Disconnect the connections from under the hood. You will also have to unplug your parking lights and headlights because it's all connected in one big harness!!
I got a complete harness from the junkyard for $10. Painless performance does NOT have a harness you need...I already checked when my wiring burned up last year!!
If you lived a little closer to me, I would come help you out since it's still fresh in my head on what to do.
It's not too tough a job. It will take some time and patience!!
