I have a 180* thermo in my car. Isn't the purpose of going that low with that kind of thermo to allow the water to flow through the engin when the temp reaches 180*?
Well, what my question is: The car stays pretty cool when im not shifting (between the 'N' and the 'O'). But when I am city driving, it SOMETIMES gets to the middle of the guage (Bettween the 'R' and the 'M'). That just seems hot to me. Isn't that around the 220* mark? I would think that it should never get that high with my low temp thermo, right?
I really would like my car to stay at around 180* or between the 'N' and the 'O' on the temp guage.
Thanks in advance.
