I have 167,000 miles on my engine.. Still turns mid 13's at the track. No ticks, nice idle, doesn't use too much oil either!
I think you should switch to synthetic to start.. I switched at 105,000 miles and i really believe it's a main reason why I'm still running today, especially the way I've beaten this car!
