The GT40 heads are the ones with the 1.94 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves right? If that's the case...I'd get a valve job on em and keep those heads....cause those are pretty nice ones. Dunno how they stack up to, say, the Performer RPM aluminum heads...but the intake valves on the GT-40's are .04 larger than the Performer RPM's 1.9 intake valves. I'd get the valve job done, and polish the heads... Porting might help but it'd be tricky with aluminum...

Might as well get a cam if you're looking for some extra power. I dont remember your signature but I think it said you've got roller rockers already? The cam you get all depends on what you're looking for. I take it you're looking for a respectable, daily driver-type car..very streetable? I'd go with an E-303 cam. Gets good gas mileage...hell, it's emissions legal....still has a nice lope to it. Mine has the E and it lopes surprisingly good...not to mention the powerband on the E is excellent. Broad all the way across...there's no flat spots. AND if your future plans are to get a supercharger, this cam is supposed to work well with forced induction. At .050, it's got 220/220 duration and .498/.498 lift.
