I have a 93'LX conv. with a S-Trim vortech in it, but the current motor dosen't have high miles though. I've heard blowers put a unnecessary burden on high miles motors, which makes sence due to the high amount of stress that is associated with the gobs of extra horsepower. My advice to you is to enjoy the the power carefully, but to start saving money for a rebuild (why not put a 331 stroker in it??)or a done block....just in case.

I ran a vortech on my stock motor until it had 50,000 on it with no problems at all (except for a blown head gasket). Then sold it to somebody for $500. and installed a DSS block with a main support on it just for extra measure.

As for being a daily driver. Thats one of the perks of a blower, as long as you keep the boost under 15lbs it should hardly affect the gas milage of the car (unless your on it all of the time, or install bigger fuel system components which wouldn't be a bad idea).
Good Luck and keep us posted!
