It's been around for nearly 40 years, it better be easier to modify! The mod engines have only been in production for 11 years, and the aftermarket parts world is only now giving mod engine owners options. In the next 5 years, the 5.0 is going to fade into the past just like carburetors did. i know that there are still plenty of carbed engines around, but 5 years ago, no one believed that there was ever going to be hi-po parts available to take EFI onto the track. At any track you went to, carbs outnumbered EFI by 99 to 1. That's hardly the case these days. The same thing is going to happen with the 5.0. You'll see.
