The Vortech does just swap out with the stock piece as far as installation but you have to buy the sensor tube calibrated for your injectors, the stock tube doesn't detach. I bought my Vortech MAS from a guy who had the 34# or 36# tube on his because he was running a blower. I bought the 19# tube from Summit for about $25 I think. You won't notice a huge increase, but it will make a difference, especially with the 65mm tb. I'm in the same spot you are as far as engine mods, for the most part, and my next step is getting a set of heads and an intake. Once I do that the basic mods I've done so far will really pay off.
