First, if you are thinking about Turbo's or Superchargers then stay with EFI.
I am in the process of converting my EFI 347 to Carb right now and here are some things to consider.
1.) You will need a Sump on the back of the car. You could modify the Stock fuel tank, but you risk rust forming around the weld if it is not done just right. The really safe method is to put a Fuel Cell in your car and ditch the Factory Tank, which is what I am doing.
2.) Plan on investing money in the following: Carb, Distributor, Fuel Lines, Fittings, Intake, Fuel Pump, and carb style filter.
3.) If you plan on getting a new carb, let me tell you the good ones run you 500$ and up easy, they ain't cheap.
4.) No computer means no auto compensation for very cold weather or very hot weather, it's all up to YOU! to adjust the carb to meet those conditions.
So, what is the plus for going with a carb?
Well for me it was a real pleaure yanking all that computer junk out from my car and shoving into a box, never having to worry about rev limitations and sensors going haywire and allot of other junk that was acting funny as my motor got more and more radical.
Anyway, just a few bits of info.
