Your maximum CFM depends on the smallest restriction the air must pass through on it's way into the engine. If you have a stock MAF system, then your maximum CFM is around 580 because the MAF diameter is 55mm. The stock TB is 60mm, which means you can increase your CFM potential, and increase the intake air velocity, by installing a larger MAF. Ultimately, you want the MAF to be larger than the TB. A 65mm TB with a 70mm MAF can flow close to 650 CFM.
