While setting my timing I noticed a problem. I turned my distributor by grabbing the plug that sticks out the bottom. Well I didn't have it loose enough and it wouldn't move, but every time I pulled on this plug my car went dead. I set the timing and tightened the holddown back up. Everytime I put a little pressure on this plug the car died. After further looking, this (whatever it's called) comes off the dist., will replacing it fix this(is it a common prob?) Also there is pickup like thing that it plugs into(three spade type plugs)iinside the dist. does this also need to be replaced? Thanks

I believe you're talking about the TFI module. Usually when they start to go bad the car won't run after it's warm. Sounds like you mave have a bad connector. Got to Ford to get one, from what some of the other guys say the part store version isn't as good.
