![]() I posted this in another forum, but everyone doesn't go there. Thanks in advance for any help.
1. Which brand drag radials hook better? (I have 17 X 9 rims) 2. Do I need to upgrade my TB to 70mm? (don't wanna loose pwr) 3. What size Mass Air? (have stock MAF/Sensor on cold air) 4 Do the rear springs from a 94 Cobra fit a 94 GT? 5. Do high flow cats make an off road exause noticably quiter if at all, and do they slow ET's? 6. What size Cam and Rockers recommended? 7. Would I Need to upgrade stock injectors? It's a daily driven car.

![]() Well I can't answer all your questions, but I'll do what I can.
You'd probably pick up a few hp with a 70mm throttle body. I'd get a 73mm Pro-M mass-air Yes Cobra, springs will fit on a GT Yes high-flow cat's quitein the the car down. And yes you will lose some ET A set of 24lb/hr injectors would be nice

![]() Do you have the iron GT40's or the aluminum turbo swrils? Generally speaking you can run more timing with aluminum heads than you can with iron heads - don't ask me how. I think PKRWUD answered one time, but I can't remember.
Anyways, if they are iron, try 13 or 14 degrees with 92 octane and see how that does for you. If aluminum, try 16 or so. I used to run 17 with my TFS heads and 94 octane with no pinging - ever. Gains are going to be minimal, but definitely worth it. Maybe 3,4 or even 5 hp, every car seems to react a little differently. Hope this helps. E

![]() If I were you I would go with Nitto drag radials.....I was pulling 2.0 60ft's with a vert with stock suspension.
The BF Goodrich grag radials are good too.

![]() Thats a great 60ft on street tires My best on street tires was a 2.29
You may want to put some Mickey Thompson ET streets on some old rims....They are the ULTIMATE without going to a full on slick.

![]() Are the MT ET streets good for every day use, or should I just use them for the 1/4?

![]() #1 Nitto's are generally accepted to hook better than BFGoodrich
#2 No, don't upgrade. There is no need. #3 C&L 76mm #4 Yes #5 Yes, they will soften the sound, ET loss is negligable to minor. #6 Steeda #19, #7 24lb/hr would be recommeded if you get a cam. |

![]() 1. I've been looking for info on Drag Radials also, and I found that BFGoodrich get the best reports. People are running 1.6 60 fts on them and a few guys have gone 9s. I'm going with them on my ponys, but they do make a 275/40/17 for your rims. My son will be getting those tires on his LX soon.
2. I was told that 70mm on a near stock engine is a little too big, but with yours it may work nice. If I were you I would go with 65mm, unless you plan on more mods later, and then I would go with the 70mm. 3. I would go with the C&L 76mm unit, I have heard good things about it. 4. I have no idea. 5. Actually a friend of mine gained a few horse power on the dyno from adding a high flow H-pipe over an off road. His ET didn't change though. 6. I would go with a B-303 cam and some 1.7 roller rockers. 7. Be safe and go with some 24lbs and don't forget to get the Mass Air Meter calibrated for the injectors. I hope some of my research helps you choose your parts.
