![]() I just posted a topic asking about the same thing in the Corral this morning--I got one answer back so far saying that the A9P is the AOD version of the A9L and it has a slightly more agressive timing curve in it.

![]() I just ordered a chip for my car today, my 89 has a aod and A9P computer. I asked him didn't all aods have the A9P and he said yes. I've heard of people putting the aod computer in a 5 speed, its supposedly more aggressive(it probably is).

![]() I have an A9S Computer. I think as long as you dont have a 94/95 or cobra computer its not gonna make much difference.

![]() I dont know the difference between the A9L and the A9P, but I do know that the A9L is the preffered one to have. Also from what Ive been told, you dont ever want to put an AOD computer in a T5 car as the fuel and timing curves are LESS aggresive. Call any tuner shop with Autologic software and they will know the answer.

![]() The A9P was used with AOD cars, the A9L was used with manual trans cars. There's not a big enough difference in the stock computer programs to worry about which one is "better".
