Angry Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding

Alright I seem to be having a problem with my car. First let me tell you what the problem is. Whenever you first start your car you hear a DING DING DING for a little bit. Well mine doesn't stop the dinging and it's very anoying.

I haven't tried to do anything yet to fix it because I figured I could come here to get some help first. I've tried shutting my door's harder but that didn't seem to work. Could a fuse be causeing this? My car is a 92 Mustang LX 2.3 liter with about 77,450 miles.

If someone could please help me with this it would be great. I'm tired of cranking my music up just so I don't have to listen to the dinging.

Lol, I think he is talking about the electronic dinging noise his car makes when he first starts it, it just keeep on dinging and dont stop. One of the ford trucks was doing that at work and we took it to the Ford house to get it fixed. I think it costed like 47 bucks.

Later,

Default Door Jamb Switch?

I had the same problem, but my dome light was coming on too. I just had to replace the jam switch, if you do that don't drop the wire back in the hole it's a pain to fish out, there is a hole in the drivers kick panel that is blocked off by 100 wire connectors you can reach in there once you figure that out.

I had the same problem on my 1993 F150. There is a relay
on it under the dash in the middle. I unplugged it, the ding stopped, I thru it in the console for about a year and then plugged it back in and no ding for about 3 or 4 months.....then it started again so I unplugged it and hid it somewhere under the work bench.

No it just constantly beeps without any pause. Could it still be my airbag causing this? I'm worried to even drive the car now. The last thing I need is a big bag blowing me in the face when I'm cruising down the road.

Thanks for the advise but my car doesn't ding because the seat belts. If that was the case they would have started dinging a long time before now.

The ding is staying on because the trigger in the door jam is not getting triggered to turn off. Try pushing it in as far as you can with the door open and start the car see if the dinging stops. If that doesn't work I suggest running it for codes, but what i did I do not recommend. We had a yellow 95 GT that was wrecked and had no air bags. It did the same thing one day and I couldn't get it to stop for anything, anyway, i pulled the *ucker completely out and no more ding. Good luck! let us know.
