				 | H-pipe installation... PITA? O.K. it is time for inpection and I need to bolt the stock H-pipe back on. Should I take it somewhere and let them do it? The only thing that I am worried about is the rubber hangers. Are they hard to free up? Maybe they just unbolt from the body. All of my flanges look good. Can I go without the hangers? I just need to run up to the inspection place and then I will bolt the O/R pipe back on... After it is cool of coarse.

				 | Just spray the hangers with WD-40 or something similar and you should have no problem wiggling them off. It is an easy job. I just installed and H-pipe and a cat-back on my car in about an hour, by myself.

				 | Yeah, it's a pretty easy job. If you had a lift it would be real easy! Putting the stock h-pipe back on, 30 min-1 hour(or more if you have to search for tools, etc...). Don't take it to a shop, because hey will charge you at least $30.. |

				 | What about the EGR tube? Does the EGR tube just slide off after you loosen it? Didn't since the tube seems pretty rigid. Thanks for the help. It will be going on tommorow along with a new smog pump. Of coarse, with all of this practice... I'm just going to have to take it all off again.

				 | I tried already... I went to one that was recommended by the local speedshop. It is a bad part of Fort Worth. Just when I thought he was finished... He slapped on the sniffers and I passed all but one area. Oh well, I need more projects.

That tube is from the smog pump, which is separate from the EGR system. | |
