Default 86 Trunk Lid on an 89

I started bidding on ebay for a trunk lid for my 89 vert... but didnt realise it was for an 86... would it even fit? I'm pretty sure naything form 87 to 93 would work... but I know some parts carried over from before... the main reason is cause I wanted to put on a SALEEN spoiler and I dont wanna mess with removing the lugage rack... it would be easier to just get a new trunk lid and paint it...

i'm 99% sure it will work. If not, then put it back up on ebay for sale

It's basically two identical cars, there's no reason i can think of why it shouldn't fit.

Any trunk lid from 1979-1993 will work.

Is the '86 also a convertible? If not, then you will have to drill the holes near the leading edge of the trunk lid for the convertible hinges.

Otherwise, they all fit.

Good luck.

that's what I like to hear... thank you very much... no I dont have to retract my bid... it's not a convertable... so i'd have to drill the holes... THAT I can handle... if it WAS a convertable I'd have to deal with the luggage rack, wich is the whole reason I wanted to get a new trunk.. I figured it's easier ot drill a couple holes them to fill in a butt load..

Thanx guys
