![]() I know this is not a technical question, but I have dried waterspots on my fiberglass hood and can not get them off. Has anybody ever had any luck removing them?

![]() i just went to the parts store and bought some 3m fine cut rubbing compound and used my orbital buffer and it took them off. you would have an easier time if you have an actual buffer though. the reason mine got the spots is because when i painted it i didnt use clear coat. (looked good enough) anyways, good luck.

![]() go buy a clay bar and some final detailer no buffing my 02 was left under a sprinkler at the dealership took them right out then use some liquid glass 2 polish it

![]() it really depends how deep they are into the paint, first i would try some meguiars step #1 (paint cleaner), it can be found at any wal-mart or part store. it cleans up any contamination on the paint and gets waterspots out. you will definatley use some elbow grease though. but like coolie said the clay bar does work good, but i had better luck with the paint cleaner. if this fails to remove them i would go to a paint shop and see if they could buff them out for you. if you are not experienced with an orbital buffer you can do costly damage to your paint by burning it. i am sure you see these cars going down the road with swirls all in their paint. thats what this is from, well good luck dude i hope all goes well.
