![]() Ok my heater core just went bad, again, and I am not changing it out anymore. I need to know whats the best way to connect the 2 heater lines so that I can bypass the heater core. Will a standard heater hose bend into a 180* bend to loop the lines together, or is there a different way? This thing is leaking pretty good and I want to fix it tonight so I am not dropping antifreeze on the track tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
Chris

![]() You can loop it. Even if there is a kink, the fluid isn't going anywhere. No different than capping both hose connections at the engine.

![]() Cool, thanks guys. I don't think anybody wants me leaking antifreeze on the track tomorrow. Supposed to be sunny, 65* with a light and variable wind! Lets see what these 4.10's and suspension give me.

![]() Here is th estory on the heater cores. I bought the car in June of 99, Nov of 2000, the first heater core went out. I installed a new one, and 2 weeks later that one went bad. The weld on the heater lines that go through the firewall went bad, and so you could turn the tubes by hand, causing it to leak. So I replaced that one. This one has been in there for 2 years now, and I am at the point to where I don't care what the problem is. I don;t drive the mustang on a daily basis anymore to work, so I can live without the heat. Doesn't get real cold here anyway. i appreciate the information, and the thought you put into helping me try to solve the problem. You guys are great!
Chris
