![]() I pulled the engine and everything out of the 86 this weekend. I'm cleaning it up and getting ready to drop it in the 93. It's got about 12,000 miles on the FMS HD clutch. No problems and seems tight. Should I bother putting something else (King Cobra, Ram)in while I've got it out or is this good enough for this and maybe a 6 PSI blower later on? If I don't need to spend the money right now I'd rather not, but then again I don't want to pull things apart and replace it 6 months later.

![]() I'd say as long as it's not slipping you're good. No need replacing it and spending money when you don't need to. I mean...even if for some odd reason it started slipping when you get everything back together then you're not out any extra money if you were just gonna put one in now.

![]() The FMS is one of the most durable out there, I wouldn't change mine until the disc is worn out. BTW mine has a lot more than 12,000 miles without a slip. The King Cobra isn't as durable, it just has a lighter pedal pressure and the Ram is listed as "not for use with slicks" although I think they're just trying to keep lawsuits off their backs.
