![]() I did the install today, E-bay didn't pay off. I have a universal bypass valve. The activation line on top of it, where does it go?
Where do I get the disc for thr FMU? What one needs to be in there with a 9# and 30lb injectors? Should the pully on the charger have a little slack it? If I rock it back and forth? Thank guys, I wanted heads buy I'll settle for what I have.

![]() Be more detailed with your bypass valve questions and I will be able to help you out , it does not matter if it is universal as long as it is functionining properly , however , it may require a custom install . As for the fmu , throw it in the woods as far as you can and forget about it , I have heard too many storys about people not being able to get their boosted stang tuned right because of it , they are good for stock applications only , get a properly calibrated mass air meter or custom burned chip with a boost sensitive fuel regulator (accufab, aeromotive) for your set up and you will be much happier. And last , no , you should not have a noticeable amount of play in the supercharger pulley.

![]() I agree about ditching the FMU. You don't need it. Throw it away, far far away. If you're running underdrive pulleys, toss them as well. You can't run underdrives with a blower...the pulleys will spin the blower slower which (I'm pretty sure) isn't what you want
![]() A dynotune and custom chip would be a good idea in the future.

![]() I am not using underdrives, I am not ditching the FMU, I am not switching to mass air. I put the belt on today and just blew air out the side of the car, that is overwhelming!
On the bypass valve their is a port to put a line on. Is it a vacume or a boost line that goes there? And where do I put the other end? What disc should be in the FMU with a 9psi charger and 30lb injectors? I want these questions ansewered, not what else I should do instead. Thanks.

![]() you put a vaccum line to that port on the bypass valve , the vaccum will hold the bypass valve open and when the vaccum turns to boost , the boost pressure will in turn close the bypass valve so the air can no longer recirculate . If you want to know that info about the fmu , you are going to have to call the manufacturer , however they will probably reccomend not to use the fmu as well .

![]() I forgot to mention , you can just splice a t-fitting int o one of the decent size vaccum line that go to the intake and run a line from that to the bypass valve . And , what are you talking about the air blowing outside the car ?

![]() Thank you mike, we just was interested to see how much air flow come out of the blower, It is bolted in the car but not tied in yet. So I put the belt on the blower and put the 90* pipe facing to the side and cranked the car, simply pumping air strait to atmospere.

![]() MM&FF had an article a few months back where they were tuning a blower combo and they too had to contact the FMU manufacturer for the correct disc. I wish I could be more precise for you, I feel your pain.
I understand your refusal to consider the chip option, however I must agree with some of the guys above that it is a good one. Good luck...

![]() Thanks Hozer, It is a 6-1 disc that I need. Yes to all of you, There are better ways to do this. I am just starting out, the finance dept is closed for a while. I will be going with a TwECCer RT, that will come later. If a FMU was part of the kit it will be fine for me to start with. Do I need a BTM? Will the RT do away with the BTM?
